Who doesn’t enjoy a perfect day relaxing on your deck, veranda, balcony, or even under your own pergola, pagoda or gazebo. Better still, these are insured under AAMI Home Building Insurance.
What's covered
We cover decks, pergolas, pagodas, gazebos, verandas and balconies at the insured address for loss or damage caused by insured events.
What’s not covered
There are some instances where you will not be covered. Such as, where loss or damage is caused by, connected with or arises from any part of the building not being in good condition or having wear, tear or deterioration from ordinary use or ordinary effects of natural forces.
We also do not cover loss or damage caused by, connected with or arising from poorly designed and non-approved external structures, without obtaining appropriate permits and that do not meet building laws or regulations.
