Sealed driveways and sealed roads
COVERED
There are many benefits to having a sealed driveway or road on your property – like helping the health of your car’s tyres, providing ease of access, and more. Here is a bit of information on the cover for sealed driveways and sealed roads under AAMI Home Building Insurance.
What's covered
We cover sealed driveways or sealed roads at the insured address for loss or damage caused by insured events. A fixed limit of up to 500 metres applies for any one incident. Also, know that in addition to this distance limit, we will not pay more than the building sum insured shown on your certificate of insurance. If you have Complete Replacement Cover®, the fixed limit doesn’t apply.
What’s not covered
We do not cover loose or compacted soil, sand, lawn, grass, artificial grass, gravel (including on roads, driveways and tracks), pebbles, rocks or granular rubber.
We also do not cover cracking to sealed driveways or sealed roads under optional ‘Accidental damage at home’ cover or from Flood, Storm or Storm Surge, but we’ll cover them if they are washed away by these insured events.
