COVERED
We know that some homes have water tanks as a welcome addition, others out of necessity. This goes the same for sewer storage and treatment tanks. Here is a bit of information on the cover for storage tanks under AAMI Home Building Insurance for loss or damage caused by insured events.
What's covered
We cover, as part of the building, fixed water tanks and sewer storage tanks or treatment tanks permanently plumbed to the building.
What’s not covered
There are some instances where you will not be covered. Such as, where loss or damage is caused by, connected with or arises from any part of the building not being in good condition, or that has wear, tear or deterioration from ordinary use or ordinary effects of natural forces, and we do not cover some losses where building works are incomplete.
