What's not covered
Loss, damage to or liability arising from or connected with biological, chemical, other pollutants or contaminants:
- any actual or threatened use, existence or release of any biological, bacterial, viral, germ, chemical or poisonous substance, pollutant or contaminant;
- any looting or rioting following the actual or threatened release of any biological, bacterial, viral, germ, chemical or poisonous substance, pollutant or contaminant;
- any action taken by a public authority to prevent, limit or remedy the actual or threatened release of any biological, bacterial, viral, germ, chemical or poisonous substance, pollutant or contaminant.
But we will cover fire damage (including water contamination) that is covered by insured event Fire (including bushfire) and your legal liability under ‘Legal liability’ cover to the extent it arises from your use of pesticides or herbicides at the insured address.
